Psalm 8:3-4 ”When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him.”
I just read this verse in amazement. The God who placed the moon and the stars in the sky cares about me. When I think of how vast this universe is and how God spoke it into existence it’s hard to wrap my mind around the fact that he also loves me, is mindful of me and truly cares about me. He’s not there in the heavens he created, and I am here on earth… He is in me and with me always.
The Creator of the universe deeply cares about my yesterday today and tomorrow.
I tend to forget the yesterday part. I am so good at look what he did yesterday or what are the possibilities of tomorrow and tend to leave him out of today. He is just involved in my every hour as he was in my past years and years to come. That blows me away. What a mighty God I serve and he is mindful of me and cares about me.
Lord, thank you for your word and the encouragement it brings. Thank you for creating the heavens and the earth and me. Thank you for caring about me despite your power majesty. It’s so crazy but you not only know me you know the number of hairs on my head. Thank you for being involved in not only my yesterday and tomorrow but also in my today. Help me to always be reminded of that. In your precious name, Amen.

Job 3:21 “Who long for death, but there is none, And dig for it more than for hidden treasures,”
Job is in so much pain not only emotionally but physically too. He longs for a way to relieve his pain and he sees that way as death. He is so consumed by it he wishes he never lived and feels it would be better for him to die. He chooses to only think thoughts of death rather than thoughts of joy. Not trying to seek out the reason God wants him to live.
Pain.
I don’t mean to sound arrogant but I have only once thought about not living. A teenager who’s heart was broken by her first love but those thoughts were short lived. I have experienced pain in my life but never stopped looking for Gods purpose which got me through. I have seen people give into death to ease their pain and my heart breaks that they didn’t have hope, they didn’t see the treasures in this life, they didn’t feel Gods purpose. I want to understand this pain so that I can show them hope, can touch their lives with christs love, can offer the only joy I know.
Lord Jesus may I be a help, may I love them the way you do, may I be a servant to them showing them that your purpose is all they need to keep on going. I know that so many are suffering so deep in their soul that they don’t know how to get out, Lord Jesus, please heal them, please stir in their hearts a love for you that gives them a will to live, a will to go on. I pray that they would have your joy. Amen
Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: if one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12).
Four Key Ingredients of a friendship:
1. PARTNERSHIP
Two are better than one because they have a good return for their work
(Ecclesiastes 4:9).
2. ENCOURAGEMENT
If one falls down, his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! (Ecclesiastes 4:10).
3. COMFORT
Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? (Ecclesiastes 4:11).
4. LOYALTY
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves (Ecclesiastes 4:12).
