Jr. High [The Rock]
Our mission at the Rock is to help middle school students find Christ and grow. We attempt to fulfill our mission by offering various midweek opportunities for students to come learn about Christ in community with their peers.
WHEN WE MEET:
Wednesday Nights:
The Rock meets Wednesday evenings (6:30-8:00pm) in the Warehouse. Wednesdays are very popular at the Rock and are more high-energy than Saturday nights or Sunday mornings. We have a rotation of speakers who teach on Wednesday nights and the lessons are more topical in nature than our typical weekend series. We also have a great worship team and a planned game that the kids always look forward to. This is typically a fairly large group, which is why we offer ‘Impact Groups’ – a small-group setting for Wednesday nights. Impact groups meet every Wednesday night from 5:00-6:00pm.
Saturday Nights:
We offer an alternate weekend meeting time on Saturday nights at 5:30pm in the Warehouse. The message is the same as it is on Sunday, but the theme for the service is different from the Sunday service. We have a student-lead worship band that plays during this time. We also cook food ‘to order’ for the kids and they have more time to fellowship than our other meeting times.
Sunday Mornings:
We offer a Sunday morning program to kids in grades 6-8 during second service (9:30am) in the Warehouse. We have games and offer breakfast foods that we cook for the kids in the warehouse, but more importantly we offer solid biblical teaching each and every week. This consists of a lesson and some small-group time. We also have worship during this service each week.
In addition to our regular weekly gatherings, we offer other planned events over the course of the year – from fun summer events to our annual retreat. Have a look at our calendar to see what’s coming up!
Sunday Evenings:
Sunday evenings The Rock and the Edge(High School group) meets from 6:00pm-7:30pm in the Warehouse for an intimate, in-depth Bible study.
