Invite A Friend
We understand that we are ALL evangelists. It’s not just the job of the Senior Pastor to help people find Christ—it’s actually our job!
Listen for the “three nots”
Pastor Kent always encourages us to listen for the “3 NOTS” when we’re in conversation with our friends, family, coworkers and neighbors. When you hear one of the following 3, there’s a good chance that the person you’re talking to is open for an invitation to church.
Here they are:
Not in church.
When your co-worker tells you that he or she not currently attending church anywhere, that’s a great time to jump in and extend an invitation to Beachcities where you know they will be presented with a clear picture of the Gospel.
Not prepared for…
When your sister-in-law calls you and is explaining to you that she is entering a new life stage (i.e. a new child, job, etc.) and shares about her lack of peace and security, invite her to church where she will hear about a God who provides peace that surpasses all understanding.
Not going well...
When your neighbor confides in you and tells you that he is facing one of the 4 D’s (Divorce, drugs, disease, debt) and is ultimately lacking hope and joy, tell him to come to a weekend service at Beachcities where he will learn about a God who gives us his Spirit and the fruits of joy, peace, and self-control.
If you hear any of these three, immediately invite. All you have to say is, “You should come to my church this weekend!” You just potentially extended a life-saving invitation.
